Prepare Your Study Time Table with SAT Exam Dates 2022


Scholastic Assessment Test or SAT is a standardized test administered by the Board of college and is required to be taken by students seeking admission to undergraduate programs. It was earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. Candidate's written, verbal and mathematical skills are being evaluated through the SAT exam. It is a pencil-paper based test attempted by those who want to pursue undergraduate courses. Mostly, in the US and Canada, it is required to take the SAT exam.

 

Duration of the SAT exam 

The time period for the SAT Exam is 3 hours but without an Essay. If a candidate chooses the SAT exam with Essay then it will be 3 hours 50 minutes long.

SAT exam pattern and scores

SAT syllabus is divided into 2 sections, Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and the range of SAT exam score for both sections is 200-800 points. The total SAT score is the sum of both sections' scores. However, candidates will get separate marks if they take the SAT with Essay.

Eligibility of SAT Exam

There is no fixed criteria for  SAT exam eligibility set by the college board, the conducting body of the SAT.

●  There is no minimum or maximum age limit for the SAT exam.

● SAT does not require any educational criteria although if candidates are planning to pursue a degree, they can start preparing from their high school itself.

● There is no fixed limit to take the SAT exam. Candidates can take the SAT exam as many times as it would take them to pass it. However, it is advised to appear for it at least twice before you complete high school.

SAT preparation

 

If a candidate scores well on the SAT exam, then they tend to be good readers who possess a good vocabulary. Those candidates can take the pressure of answering questions in less time as compared to others,as the test deals with multiple sections. However, the SAT exam is similar to other exams, so candidates can prefer either self-studying or attend coaching classes for the preparation.

If you think you can do the best by taking coaching classes then go for it, otherwise self-study  needs motivation and self-discipline to continue with the routine and this will surely help you to save your time and money.

Learn the format for the SAT Essay as well as strategies.

Review the Math, Writing and Language and reading sections.

Review the Math, Writing and Language and reading sections.

Take your fourth practice test to review your answers and vocab.

Month 5

Review one section of the SAT and your vocab.

Review a different section of the SAT and your vocab.

Review a different section of the SAT and your vocab.

Take a fifth practice test and review your answers.

Month 6

Review one section of the SAT and your vocab. Do more practice in your essay skills.

Review another section of the SAT and your vocab. Review the format of SAT again, and brush up on your vocab.

Review another section of the SAT and take one last practice test.

Review all the concepts and especially those in which you struggled in your last practice test.

Review your vocab and go over your SAT strategies one last time.
